![]() I didn't want to purchase another disk scanner but this helped me nail the issue, although I'm still curious as to what was causing this. Was having this issue for months and tried different methods to no avail. Would like to know if anyone else has seen this. I was able to delete those folders using DaisyDisk and regain my space. ![]() When I kept drilling down on the folder they all had the Xcode App. ![]() When I expanded the Library folder in DaisyDisk, there was a folder called "Installer Sandbox" inside which there was another folder called ".pkInstallerSandboxManager" which had random folders taking GBs of space. If not then choose Uninstall, restart PC to reinstall driver. Click on the Device, then Driver tab, choose Roll Back if available. That account couldn't access the partitions. Back on the desktop PC, I created a new local user account and made it an administrator account also. ![]() It may be listed by it's model or Serial which you can google to determine which is it. I connected the USB device to a Windows 10 tablet, but the results were similar. The strange thing about this is when I check the size of the library folder in Finder it only shows over 3GB, however in DaisyDisk it shows over 100GB Go into Device Manager to look for the drive under Disk Drives. I eventually purchased DaisyDisk and ran a scan with administrator privileges and it revealed a significant amount of space consumed by the Library folder. I also ran a scan with CleanMyMac for which I have a subscription, which didn't seem to reveal the hidden space. I downloaded the free version of DaisyDisk and did a scan which came up with over 100GB of hidden files. I've been grappling with this issue over months now. I initially thought this to be an issue with my files and started deleting them to make more space only to loose that space after a few days. I've been gradually loosing space to the point where there was only a few GB of space left. some of the files are not being deleted from Daisy Disk. If your startup disk consists of at least four separate volumes, you might notice a reduction in space available to Macintosh HD.I've been having an issue with my Mac since it was upgraded to BigSur.
