The City of Sunrise Veterans Recruitment Plan is to encourage individuals eligible for veterans’ preference in accordance with section 295.07, Florida Statutes, to seek employment opportunities with the City. The City recognizes the extensive training, experience, and transferrable skills gained through military service. The City of Sunrise is committed to successfully recruiting and onboarding talented and skilled Veterans into the City’s workforce. Please be advised that pursuant to FS 295.07 certain military service members and veterans, spouses and family members of service members and veterans receive preference and priority in employment by the state and its political subdivisions. Requests received after 24 hours of application submission will not be processed. If you are unable to attach the required documents, you will have 24 hours from the time of application submittal to contact the Human Resources Department to request assistance. You must contact the Human Resources Department via email at include the documents you would like to attach to your application. Failure to upload proof of highest level of completed education may render your application incomplete. You will be required to submit your proof of education (diploma or transcript showing highest level of completed education). Please also submit any licenses or certifications required for the position for which you are applying. You must upload any required documents, as indicated, prior to submitting your online application. Proof of Education must be submitted with application: This application can be saved and used to apply for more than one job opening and any future job openings with the City of Sunrise. You may upload documents as attachments such as proof of education, resumes, special required certifications or documents supporting your claim for Veteran's Preference or Sunrise Resident Preference.
